Saskatchewan issued a total of 438 invitations to apply in the latest Expression of Interest system invitation round that took place on September 27, 2018.
A total of 225 invitations went out to candidates under the program’s Express Entry sub-category and the remaining 213 invitations were issued to candidates in the Occupations In-Demand sub-category in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program.
The Express Entry candidates cut off score was 65 points while the Occupations In-Demand candidates cut off score was at 66.
After receiving an invitation to apply through either of these sub-categories, candidates can submit a complete provincial nomination application to the Government of Saskatchewan.
With a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, express entry candidates gain 600 points additionally towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, out of 1,200 points, in the federal government’s Express Entry selection system, thus automatically placing them in the top of the candidates’ pool.
The SINP also invited candidates who did not have a profile in Canada’s Express Entry pool through its Occupation In-Demand sub-category.
After receiving a nomination, Occupation In-Demand candidates can apply directly to the Government of Canada for Canadian permanent residence.
Both of these popular sub-categories have similar eligibility requirements and do not require candidates to have a Canadian job offer in order to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
The Express Entry sub-category is only open to eligible candidates who have already submitted a federal Express Entry profile while the Occupations In-Demand category is open to eligible candidates who have not submitted an Express Entry profile.
Congratulations to our clients who received this coveted provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence.

To help reunite even more parents and grandparents with their families in Canada, the Government of Canada will accept up to 20,000 applications for the sponsorship of parents and grandparents, in 2019. This is 4 times the number of applications accepted when the program reopened in 2014, when the cap was set at 5000 applications.
This decision to increase the number of applications that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will accept for processing is a result of continually high demand in the Parents and Grandparents (PGP) Program.
In 2019, as in previous years, the Interest to Sponsor form will be available online, at the beginning of the year, so eligible potential sponsors can let IRCC know they wish to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada. However, instead of randomly selecting the sponsors to apply, IRCC will invite them to submit an application to sponsor their parents and grandparents based on the order in which they receive their Interest to Sponsor forms. This process will continue until the 2019 cap of 20,000 complete applications is reached.

Foreign entrepreneurs who wish to relocate to Canada with their family can now buy a business here and apply for a work permit as a management level employee under the Temporary Foreign Workers program. The Investor/Entrepreneur should have :
- Verifiable, transferable past management experience
- Sufficient assets to buy the Canadian Business
- Language skills in English or French to actively manage the business
After identifying a suitable Canadian business, the next step would be apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) along with a business plan and obtain a positive LMIA. This is then followed by applications for work permits for themselves and their spouse; and study permits for the children.
After their arrival in Canada, they can apply for Permanent Residence under a Federal Program or Provincial Program.
The process, though extensive, can be successfully completed within six months with the support of a skilled immigration consultant who can assist with the LMIA and other required immigration formalities.
We at Alexander Immigration Services, through our network of Licensed professionals, will help you identify a suitable Canadian Business for purchase. We then help you apply for the LMIA, followed by the work permits and later on for permanent residence in Canada,

A common question that Alexander Immigration Services often faces:
“Will you please get me a job and a work permit in Canada?”
Foreign workers need an offer of employment from a Canadian Employer before being granted a Work Permit, and in most cases the Canadian Employer needs to obtain a LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) prior to giving a job offer, unless they are exempt from obtaining a LMIA due to International Agreements, Federal-Provincial Agreements or “Canadian Interests” Category.
We do not provide recruitment services for our clients, but yes, we do provide immigration services like applying for LMIA and work permits.
A word of caution to our readers – Beware of Immigration Firms that say they can find you employment and get you a job offer. There is an extremely high degree of fraud in this area, and you may be taken advantage of and lose your money.
We strongly encourage our clients to visit Canada Jobs Bank, Indeed.ca, Monster.ca and other job sites to apply for and obtain a suitable job in Canada. Once they get a job offer we help them apply for either Permanent or Temporary Immigration, depending on the circumstances.

The Government of Canada conducted it’s 12th Express Entry Draw today and invited 3750 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence. The cut off CRS score was 451 and since multiple candidates had this score priority was given to candidates who created their profile prior to July 21, 2017 at 07:01:28 UTC.
More invitations are expected to be issued in the coming weeks and months since Canada has a target of one million immigrants by 2020.
